Pinterest TV Easy Apps Series: Mermaid Snack Cups & Baked Sage Goat Cheese Appetizers

Summer gatherings call for Easy Apps but they've got to be a little bit special if you ask me!

These two appetizers I made for Pinterest TV are going to do the trick. First we have Mermaid Snack Cups filled with not-so-healthy snacks for the kids (and adults) who want a fun Under The Sea type of treat. These come together in a snap with a few easy supplies and ingredients you can find in just about any grocery store or Amazon. Fancy them up for a fun girl's night or bachelorette by using pretty wine glasses or make them for the kids using clear plastic appetizer cups.

OK now for another delicious and EASY app I have made many times but not necessarily LIVE ON PINTERESTTTTT are you hearing me??? No, ok cool. lol. Here's the recipe for one of my most favorite dips that I go back to over and over but love to mix it up with different combos of salts, herbs, oils, and other add-ins to this dip. This ONE PAN sheet pan appetizer comes together quickly and will have everyone gathering around asking WHO MADE THISSSS??? Believe me. Plus you likely have these ingredients in your fridge and didn't even know you could come up with such a delish creation in a snap - here is how to do it.

This one above features STUFFED pizza rolls so each one has a little chunk of mozzarella inside for an unexpected extra pop of cheese!

Crispy Sage Baked Goat Cheese Appetizer

INGREDIENTS

• 8 oz log of plain goat cheese

• 8 oz package of cream cheese

• ½ cup grated Parmesan

• Couple drizzles of good olive oil

• 1 tsp chopped garlic

• 1 tsp sea salt

• 1 tsp pepper

• 1 tsp red chili flakes

• Dried Italian herbs

• of fresh sage leaves

• Oil for frying the sage

• Sea salt

• 1 lb raw pizza dough rolled into little balls

• Tools

• Mini Baking Sheet

• Parchment paper if you like

• Kitchen brush (Optional)

Combine the cream cheese and goat cheeses together in a little glass bowl and stir. Can microwave for 30 seconds to soften if needed.

Add the parmesan, chopped garlic, drizzle of olive oil and season with salt/pepper

Spread the mixture out on a mini baking sheet

Add the pizza dough rolls around the dip

Drizzle the entire thing with olive oil and season the top of the dip with the red chili flakes and more salt/pepper or other dried herbs if desired

Bake @ 375 for 20-30 minutes or until the bread rolls are lightly browned

While the dip is baking add about an inch of oil to a small saucepan on the stove over medium-low heat. Gently toss in the sage frying it in batches for about 1-2 minutes max!

Let the sage drain on paper towels and top it with salt while still warm

Remove the dip from the oven and top it with the crispy sage leaves.

Serve immediately and ENJOY!
