BACKYARD DATE NIGHT

You don't need anything too fancy to create a special moment for you and your partner. Grab a few blankets and pillows, your favorite grazing board filled with a few lovely cheeses, fig jam, crackers, blueberries and a pretty little garnish, a bottle of wine and a couple of candles.

Tip #1 - Put the kids to bed early

YES - you heard me right sister, you CAN put your kids to bed early. And when I say EARLY I mean like 30 minutes and they seriously won't even notice while they are young. Older kids won't mind tucking away into their rooms or watching a movie while you setup your cute backyard picnic. Get older kids involved with the setup and helping you make a few yummy treats for your picnic. They will love keeping a fun secret from daddy or mommy and making sure you create the perfect surprise date.

Tip #2 - Wool Blankets are your friend

Growing up I HATED wool blankets. Like honestly how itchy can you get? So annoying. But they really do work well for picnics so I like to layer wool blankets with softer blankets so they don't have to touch your skin while enjoying your lovely picnic.

"Here is where i am supposed to insert a smart and cool-sounding quote"– me

Tip #3 - Grab your favorite snacks

Mine is cheese and crackers. What's yours? Lightly pack your favorite board with your favorite cheese - I used brie, smoked gouda and Spanish Manchego, wafer crackers, fig jam, dried figs, kiwi stars, and apple slices. Simple.

Tip #4 - Mix it up

Try a little music. If you don't have a backyard sound system ( I definitely don't) then just pop some tunes on your phone to set the mood. My husband and I love to listen to ChillHop or LofiGirl when we are hanging together. Try those stations out and let me know what you think in the comments!

Don’t Forget to ENJOY EACH OTHER

Keep it casual, relaxed, easy, and fun. Talk to your person. Ask them questions. Sip, Snack, and enjoyyyyyy each other.
