Easter Spread: Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs, A Stylish Twist on two Brunch Classics

Growing up I remember excitedly learning how to make deviled eggs. Every year on Easter my sisters and I would whip up a batch and I definitely want to pass that tradition down to my kids. Here at Platter Girl I try to keep my recipes on the creative side and often don't make the same recipe twice so for this brunch essential I figured I would combine two delicious brunch recipes (anything smoked salmon + deviled eggs) creating a classic with a twist: Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs. Think creamy yolks, smoky salmon, a hint of mustard, and a sprinkle of dill - it's brunch, but make it badass. Let's dive in and shake up your Springy Easter spread!

Tips and Tricks:

Ready to rock your own Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs? Here's the lowdown:

  • Quality counts - opt for fresh eggs, top-notch smoked salmon, and herbs so vibrant they practically wink at you.

  • Dare to be different - play around with the seasonings. Want to crank up the heat? Splash in some hot sauce or dust with a spicy bit of Tajin! I love this delish South Korean Garlic Chive sea salt from @JosuSalts

  • Presentation matters - garnish with flair. Fresh dill, salmon lox, or even a sprinkle of salmon roe - go on, make those eggs Instagram-worthy.

2 tablespoons pickled red onions (from Madams Jams)

1 teaspoon Josu Salts Garlic Chive Salt (or to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh dill, for garnish

Directions:

  2. Mash the egg yolks with a fork until smooth.

  3. Add the chopped smoked salmon, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, pickle juice, pickled red onions, Josu Salts Garlic Chive Salt, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the mashed egg yolks. Mix until well combined.

  4. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.
