About the Recipe
I get so excited when I walk into a friend or family member's home for a party or gathering and see a bread bowl with layers of cheese. It brings me comfort and makes me feel welcome. It's that extra step a host can take that makes it feel like they put in the effort, and really, it is so good. Imagine you are the host. How happy would your guest be if they saw this lovely bread bowl bubbling with a delicious pesto cheese dip?
Ingredients
1 wide French sourdough bread loaf
1/2 cup of your favorite pesto
8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp Olive oil

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Cut the top off of your bread and hollow out the inside. Place the bread bowl and the bread top on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt
3. In a medium bowl, combine the pesto and cream cheese, salt/pepper and stir until smooth. Pour the mixture into the bread bowl.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the top of the dip
