Why Make Homemade Boursin?
Um, because why not? While store-bought Boursin is undeniably tasty, there's something special about making it yourself. You can customize the flavors to your liking and ensure that it's made with fresh ingredients. Plus, it's super easy and fun to whip up a batch! Not to mention the real thang can be pricey and this recipe yields much more than I get in the little packs when they are $8.99!
Ingredients:
16 oz. cream cheese or crème fraiche (if you're feeling fancy), at room temperature
8 oz. salted butter, at room temperature
4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dried dill weed
1 tablespoon dried chives
1 tablespoon garlic chive salt (we love @josusalts!)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions:
Combine the Cream Cheese and Butter: In a food processor, combine the room temperature cream cheese (or creme fraiche) and butter. Process until smooth and creamy.
Add the Parmesan and Herbs: Once the mixture is smooth, add the Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, dried dill weed, dried chives, garlic chive salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and white pepper. Process again until well combined.
Chill the Mixture: Transfer the cheese mixture to a bowl or wrap it in plastic wrap to form two balls. Chill in the refrigerator until firm.
Serve and Enjoy: Once chilled, your Homemade Boursin Cheese is ready to be enjoyed! Serve it with crackers, spread it on toast, pair it with veggies, or use it in your favorite recipes. The possibilities are endless!

See what I mean? It's gonna be a yes from me!
