Mini Baked Meatball Subs

Get ready to elevate your game day spread with these DELISH Baked Mini Meatball Sub Sandwiches featuring air-fried turkey meatballs, cooked to perfection in my trusty Cosori Air Fryer.

Paired with the irresistible sweetness of King's Hawaiian rolls and a cascade of gooey cheeses, these subs are set to become your new game day MVP. Let's dive into the playbook and score some culinary points!

Ingredients:

  • King's Hawaiian rolls

  • Turkey meatballs (air-fried in a Cosori Air Fryer)

  • Marinara sauce

  • Smoked mozzarella, shredded

  • Parmesan, grated

  • Shredded cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite)

  • Melted butter

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat and Prep:

Preheat your Cosori Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C). While it's heating up, slice the top of each of the King's Hawaiian rolls removing the center. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2. Air-Fry the Turkey Meatballs:

Prepare your turkey meatballs and pop them into the Cosori Air Fryer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cooking time and temperature, ensuring they come out perfectly juicy and golden brown.

3. Layer it Up:

On each King's Hawaiian roll bottom, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce. Place an air-fried turkey meatball on top, and then generously sprinkle shredded smoked mozzarella over each meatball.

4. Extra Cheesy Goodness:

Amp up the cheesy goodness with a layer of shredded cheese blend on top of the smoked mozzarella. This combination promises a melty, cheesy paradise in every bite.

5. Crown it with Parmesan:

Grate some Parmesan cheese over the top for an added punch of rich, savory flavor that complements the turkey and marinara.

6. Sandwich Time:

Assemble your mini subs by placing the top half of the King's Hawaiian roll on each, creating delicious little sandwiches.

7. Butter Bliss:

Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter, and sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over each one. This step enhances the flavor and gives a golden finish.

8. Bake or Air Fry:

If you prefer a crispier finish, you can place the subs back into the Cosori Air Fryer for a couple of minutes. Alternatively, bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tops are golden brown.

9. Serve and Enjoy:

Take the Baked Mini Meatball Subs out of the oven or air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Witness them disappear as your guests savor the irresistible combination of flavors.

10. Game Day Perfection:

Whether you're cheering for your favorite team or enjoying a casual game night, these Baked Mini Meatball Subs are a game day triumph. The marriage of air-fried turkey, smoky mozzarella, and the sweet embrace of King's Hawaiian rolls makes this a winning recipe every time
